Hi: I have a SSL Cert graphic that I want to appear on every page - best place I'm thinking to put it is above or below the Simple Member Pro link that appears at the bottom of every page.  Or my other option is to put it underneath the row of links that say "Home, Disclaimer, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Contact Information"

Can you please tell me which file to go into to change that?  I'm assuming I will need to access it through cPanel. Please advise. Thanks.

Oh dah!  LOL!  :D I was trying to do it the hard way.  Never occured to me that it was already integrated into the admin panel for easy use.  LOL!  ::)

The site is coming along wonderfully.  I launched it last week but had to halt all marketing efforts because I had 100% shopping cart abandonment after they filled out the form for payment.  I am assuming this was because Paypal had a glitch last week that only made it appear people had to log into Paypal.

However, I am having my tech guy add an actual credit card checkout as well as a seperate Paypal option for checkout because some people don't want to sign up for Paypal and if they want to use their credit card through Paypal they MAKE them sign up for an account which sucks!

So I am going to be able to market the site hopefully by the end of the day and I will let you know how it goes  :)

Hi: Ok thanks that fixed it.  But please answer my other question.  What is the purpose of that section?  I thought it was to put email samples there for affiliates to copy and paste.  But maybe I'm wrong. Please explain that area?

Hi: What is the original code for affiliate_emails.html - I was trying to change it and forgot to back it up and messed it up.  I thought this was the original code however now the email start, email end and mailname codes are showing up on my page.   Also please explain how this is suppose to be used?  Are they support to just copy and paste emails into their own email and then send.  What is the view button for?  Where does the email actually go?  Just explain the whole purpose of this page and how to insert the emails.  Is it only for putting in one email?  I thought it was for you to put in different emails that affiliates code use? What do I need to fix below:

The code I have now is:

<br>
<center>
   <font class="titles">
      Affiliate Emails Management
   </font>
</center>
<br>

<table align="center" width="87%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td class="error" colspan="4" align="center"><b>{{message}}</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
      <td colspan="3" class="tbtext">
     <div align="left"><strong>Affiliate Emails</strong>      </div></td>
      <td width="11%" align="center"> &nbsp;&nbsp;
         <a href="market.php">&rarr;&nbsp;Back</a>      </td>
   </tr>

<tr>
   <td colspan="4" align="left" class="tbtext">
        Below are the emails you can use for your marketing campaigns.<br />
        Click the view button to view the emails.</td>
</tr>

<tr>
   <td colspan="4"><hr align="left" noshade size="1">   </td>
</tr>

&lt;{email_start}&gt;
   <tr>
      <td colspan="3" class="tbtext">
     <div align="left"><strong><{mailname}></strong>      </div></td>
      <td width="11%" align="center"> &nbsp;&nbsp;
         <a href="aff_email.php?mid=<{mid}>">View</a>      </td>
   </tr>
   <tr>
      <td colspan="4"><hr align="left" noshade size="1"></td>
   </tr>

<{email_end}>
<tr>
   <td width="88%" class="tbtext">
   <div align="left"><br>
    <ul>
      <li>Click <b>View</b> to view each affiliate email.</li>
     </ul>
</div>   </td>
   </tr>

Oh ok, well you know some people are slow and may think otherwise LOL!!  I will just add a little blurb on that page next to it so they know it is not their sales stats

Hi: Did you find anything else out about Paypal Pro Integration?  I launched my site yesterday and had 15 people fill out the sign up form but when they got to the payment part they abandoned the cart.

Well I just did ANOTHER test after the update.  When you log into the member area - it says 0 Affiliate Sales - then when you into the Earn Money link - it says Currently you have referred 1 member.  So guess the question is - are those two different kind of stats - one meaning a affiliate is someone who paid and referral someone who didnt - if so it makes no sense to have the referred member under earn money because then one thinks they actually "earned money" from the referral.  I will send you a screen shot

Hi: leave it to me to think of this one.   ::)  I was just thinking for affiliate who signup without buying anything - is it going to delete them after one day.

update says:

This will now delete any member marked paid without a paid product who has been a member for longer than 1 day. This will help keep the database cleaned out.
from the system after 24 hours.

Hi: I wish it were that simple  :-\ - I had already tried that before opening the ticket.  When you do that - it messes up the whole page and gives you this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '"' in /home/realjobs/public_html/signup.php on line 536

You are right about the code line that needs changed except there is code above it that I believe plays into it as well.  This is the full code for that section below.  The $pshort code references that code at the end of that url - and if you delete it - it doesn't work and if you leave it - it still doesn't work.  So I'm thinking something needs to change with that code too:  Any suggestions.

$pshort = $v['pshort'];
$member_check='<a href="member/login.php?short='.$pshort.'">Existing Members Click Here To Login And Access Members Area</a>';

Simple Member Pro / Big Issue w/Affiliate Program Referrals
« on: September 17, 2009, 04:51:21 AM »
Hi: There is an issue with the Affiliate Program Referrals.  If a person signs up under an affiliate url but then does not pay - it counts them under the Affiliates Referral Count.  Although it does not put it under the admin side as an affiliate referral that needs to be paid which is a good thing on the Admin side.  HOWEVER, its a huge problem on the Affiliate side because the affiliate does not know that the person didn't pay - all they know is that their screen says they have 1 referral and they will be expecting to be paid for that 1 referral, which as you can imagine can lead to a huge issue for Admin to argue with affiliates that although your stats show you have X amount of referrals, only X amount of referrals actually paid.  We should not have to do that.

Is there a fix for this?  If not, when is one coming out?

Hi: The link above is my standard login landing page - I have it customized that way.  But on the Signup page - it has a link that says "Existing Members Login Here" that is the link that I need to change.  But its in PHP.  I will ask my tech guy to see if he can change it and let you know what needed to be done.

Simple Member Pro / Help! How to Change a link in signup.php
« on: September 16, 2009, 10:54:55 AM »
Hi: I want to customize my Existing Members Login Here link to go here: http://www.myurl.com/member/login.php
instead of here: http://www.myurl.com/member/login.php?short=join

So I went into signup.php and it seems to not be anything like html coding LOL!  So how do I change the code below to go to the url above:

$pshort = $v['pshort'];
$member_check='<a href="member/login.php?short='.$pshort.'">Existing Members Click Here To Login And Access Members Area</a>';
