Simple Member Basic
« on: August 06, 2009, 07:44:09 PM »
I have a copy of SMP 2.14, however I have several projects in mind that might best be implemented with my PLR copy of SMS. Clean and lightweight. My question...has all further development or support ended for SMS? The only thing lacking is Aweber integration which I do need.

After thinking about it a little more, the above question about further development was a little slow on my part. Sometimes happens when I'm thinking and writing at the same time. However, any support, other than peer-to-peer I think remains valid?

Last...does anyone have or know where to get code to do the SMS to Aweber integration I spoke about?

Hi Tanaya

Johnny stopped supporting Simple Member Basic some time ago and the Aweber integration was something that was only ever going to be in the Pro version.

There is no reason though why you couldn't use SMP for your projects as you can use it on any domain you own.

Failing that I guess you could hire a programmer to edit SMB for you.

Sorry I forgot to reply... Okay fair enough on the support of SMS. I'm starting several SMP projects, but still thinking of using SMS for a couple.

Question, does anyone know or have access to code to email GetResponse and forgo the Aweber integrsation? I'm sure I'm not the first to ask/want this ability.

If your looking for GR integration it was built into SMP already. If you have that script there really is no reason to use the basic version as SMP does everything the basic does with the added benefit of having the Aweber and GR integration built in already.

Yes, I'm a paid member and have both 2.14 and 2.15...Sorry, but I still like the basic version for certain projects! The new version (ie 2.15) is fine and working with no issues.

I still have a couple of projects I would like to use the basic version on, but as I said before, I'm looking for someone who has or knows where to get the GR or Aweber registration code. Right now I have them signup to Aweber or GR who sends them to the signup page upon confirmation. Clunky but works! My goal is to alleviate that step as you know how hard it is to get them to signup once, let alone twice.

Johnny/David, I have nothing against SMP an I'm using it! It's a great program and in most cases "over-delivers" on what is actually needed to accomplish the task-at-hand. Well less lacking multilevel membership. Any plans in that department?

Still looking...
